Capacity Building Training on Bangladesh Single Window (BSW) for 43rd BCS Assistant Commissioners of Customs and Excise

On May 29, 2025, a training session on the Bangladesh Single Window (BSW) system was conducted at the Customs, Excise, and VAT Training Academy in Chattogram for 11 Assistant Commissioners of Customs & Excise from the 43rd BCS cadre. Facilitated by Mohammad Ali Ullah, Capacity Building Coach of the BSW Project under Webb Fontaine Group, the session aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the BSW platform, focusing on stakeholder registration, the application process for import and export licenses, and the inter-agency approval workflow. The training featured a combination of theoretical briefings, live system demonstrations, and interactive discussions, enabling participants to grasp the practical implications of BSW in streamlining customs and trade facilitation. The officers actively engaged throughout the session, demonstrating strong interest and awareness in adopting digital tools to improve operational efficiency. The session concluded successfully, with recommendations for future hands-on training and agency-specific modules to further strengthen their capacity in using the BSW system.
