A comprehensive four-day training program on Risk Management took place from December 1 to 4, 2024, at the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) in Dhaka. The event was inaugurated by Ms. Pramila Sarker, Deputy Project Director of the National Single Window and Additional Commissioner of Customs & VAT.
The training was attended by officials from various departments including The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, The VAT Audit, Intelligence & Investigation Directorate, and The Customs Risk Management Commissionerate. Officials from The Customs House of Dhaka also participated in the program.
The main objective of the program was to enhance participants’ understanding and implementation of risk management practices within customs operations. Key topics covered included risk profiling, data analytics for risk assessment, and practical tools for identifying and mitigating risks in trade and customs processes, with a focus on utilizing Automated Risk Management Systems (ARMS).
